Butterworth Filter Design

Typical output run from program.

Synthesis run from Butterworth Program

A design program that enables rapid implementation of passive/active and Hi/Low pass Butterworth filters. Used in applications ranging from audio to RF Bandlimiting (Roofing). Documentation covers for example, best inductor types, Operational Amplifiers, Resistor and capacitor types. Signal buffering and pcb design practices are also covered.

Key Benefits
All design outputs tested. Active versions use a stable, production tested circuit (Not Sallen Key), where the design procedure allows (to a certain extent) convenient component selection. Complete documentation (on CD) includes design hints/tips, including surface mount. Pricing £35 per unit

Passive Butterworth filters are relatively benign, as regards inductor/capacitor tolerances. However, tuning the inductors is not a matter of setting stopband notches, unless a temporary parallel capacitor with each inductor is used.

Using a synthesis program like this, can literally save you hours of time in the design cycle.
